c. Intercity highway connecting Jakarta and Bandung:
- The distance from Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta International Airport) to Bandung is 140 km
- Public transportation is available from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to Bandung via intercity highway. This means of transportation departs from the airport every hour:
- Mini bus (7 passengers): tariff approximately 12 USD
- Bus (40 passengers): tariff approximately 8 USD
The Committee will have representatives stand-by at Jakarta Airport to assist the participants use one of the transportation above.
Accommodation
Participants are expected to arrange their own accommodation for the duration of SIBE 2009 Conference. With 75 Star grade hotels and 181 Jasmine grade hotels in Bandung. Recommended hotels rated 4 and 5 stars located near the Conference Venue are as following: Jayakarta, Sheraton, Hyatt, and Novotel.

We recommend participants to reserve their choice of accommodation as soon as possible.
If participants are interested, we can assist to find alternative accommodations. We cooperate with a travel agency that can help you arrange and reserve accommodation for the duration of SIBE-2009 Conference, especially for 1-3 Stars and Non-star hotels. Transportation to Conference Venue
Participants can use taxi cab as transportation from hotel to the Conference Venue for approximately 2-3 USD. As an alternative, you can also use the common city-transportation known as “angkot”. It is a local version of a taxi with a specified route, fitting 8 passengers and an approximate tariff of 0.30 USD/passenger/route. The hotels mentioned above are in the “angkot” route which also includes near the Conference Venue.
If there are enough participants interested, a shuttle mini-bus will be arranged to transport participants from the hotel mentioned above to the Conference Venue. The shuttle mini-bus tariff for the duration of the conference (2nd and 3rd November 2009) is approximately 8 USD.
